Once there:

  1. Join the challenge – you will need a grown-up to confirm their email address but joining is very easy and won’t take long.
  2. Pick your first avatar (you can change your avatar any time, including when you unlock new content when completing reads and challenges)
  3. You can now set your own reading target for the summer 1-1000! It’s up to you how many books you want to read.
  4. Explore the site: ‘Games’, from blasting asteroids, to solving mazes, catching bats to word games, there are lots of games for you to play online.
    The ‘BookSorter’, a digital machine where you can input your favourite book type and age and it will sort out top book recommendations for you. The ‘Chat’ where you can read messages from other Silly Squad members and add your own. ‘Activities’, puzzles, competitions and prizes. The ‘Reading Club’ where you can find out about your favourite authors and illustrators by enjoying exclusive interviews and videos,
  5. Each time you read a book go to – ‘Add a book to your challenge and claim your reward’
  6. Read or listen to books if you have a Walsall Libraries card and pin number. You can find lots of great eBooks and eAudio-books for free using BorrowBox here:
